A couple of weekends ago Laura and I went to my hometown thrift store looking for t-shirts and I found this dress for $3:

I decided I would transform the dress into a baby gift for my MQG friend, Carrie:
I knew Carrie had already made a beautiful quilt for her daughter, so I made a smaller quilt that could be taken to the park:
The backing fabric is from IKEA:
We had our June MQG Meeting tonight, and Carrie brought her three-week old beautiful daughter, Delia Ruth, to the meeting - it was such a treat to meet her!
Oh I love that fabric and what you did with it is lovely.
